Nowimalamp is the Lo-Fi alter-identity of producer Josiah Soren. Each song is composed and produced with love and care in Ableton featuring a variety of live instruments and royalty free samples. Nowimalamp has released two full-length albums on Etymology Records as well as 8 self-released 3-track EP’s. Nowimalamp’s first album, “Sunken Garden”, is a series of stories from Josiah’s childhood and young adult life growing up in Atlanta GA, specifically the times spent with friends in the Sunken Garden park. His follow up album “Dayglow” is a series of summer inspired tunes with the intention of imagining the listener laying in a park on a hot summer day and staring off into the clouds.

Nowimalamp’s follow up project, a double album titled “Thoughtful” is set to release in 2023 & 2024 with the LoFi Clouds label. This double album is another look back into the life of Josiah, focused on college experiences and embracing a mellow, lush, sort of saudade feeling. Every song on the record is inspired by experiences between Josiah and friends from the ages of 21-28. Songs weave in and out of dramatic string arrangements and somber piano melodies, always focused on minimal and thoughtful LoFi drums and textures.Quickly)
